In this post, we are going to examine the key energies under which Libra Season 2022 will pass.
The first one is Saturn's square to Uranus. At the start of Libra season, the two planets are within a degree of an exact square. This square becomes exact on October 1st and is operational until October 23. On that day, Saturn stations direct and begins to break away from that tense conversation with Uranus. We will all finally begin to move on from this theme.
Uranus is the revolutionary impulse to break free from what no longer serves your growth. It's an energy of radical change, reversal, chaos and liberation. It wants the new chapter here and now. Saturn is the mature father of the zodiac. It demands that you do execute this change in a step-by-step manner. It asks you to have a game plan.
Saturn first started squaring Uranus in February of 2021. Last year, there were three exact squares - in mid-February, mid-June and on Christmas. Look at where Taurus (the sign that Uranus is transiting) and Aquarius (the sign that Saturn is transiting) fall in your chart to find out which areas of your life will be affected again this Libra season.
The second major energy is Mars square to Neptune. Mars is transiting the sign of Gemini and will be there all the way until March 2023. Because of the pending Rx, this transit will be exceptionally long and pretty much throughout all the time Mars will be in a (at time tighter, at times looser) square with Neptune.
Mars is action, drive, warrior-like energy. One moment it begins to want something and the next moment it is already reaching out to get it. No time is wasted thinking or strategizing. I want it, it is mine, I am going for the kill.
Neptune is an overt energy of confusion and dillusion. Things are not as they appear to be and we have to be extra careful not to make decision based on false calculations. Things may feel to good to be true, we may be fighting pointless battles, we might be waging war for paper prizes.
While in Gemini, Mars (the God of War) will also trine Saturn (governments). In a way, Mars is drawing the energies of Neptune and Saturn in a single conversation and those energies cannot be more dissimilar. Neptune is boundless ocean. Saturn is structured structure (pun intended). Neptune is nebulous. Saturn is material. Neptune is a dreamy house of cards. Saturn is the less-beautiful but always-there-for-you solid reality. Mars is war, conflict, struggle, drive to achieve something. Neptune is religion, ideals, human rights, equality. Saturn is social structure, obligations, responsibilities. Mars will tend to act in alignment with Saturn (trine) "against" Neptune (square).
The third dominant energy this month is the Sun's conjunction with Venus. The Sun will be in Libra and Venus is the ruler of Libra, so this conjunction is very potent. It begins around October 1st (this is when the two planetary bodies get only 5 degrees apart from an exact conjunction) and lasts until November 11th. The exact conjunction takes place at 29 degrees of Libra, just as the two enter Scorpio, on October 22.
This month we will be occupied with money, art and beauty matters. Diplomacy and partnerships-building will be on focus. The Sun will shine its life-giving light in tandem with Venus's focus on diplomacy, negotiations, finance, currencies, art and beauty.
The fourth key energy is comes from Mercury and Venus both moving through oppositions with Jupiter (in early Aries) and Neptune (in late Pisces). As the planet of communication (Mercury) and the planet of relationships (Venus) move across the sky from Jupiter, Jupiter will magnify their attributes. As they move on to interact with Neptune, we will not be sure what is what, what is real and what is a lie. In many ways, the energy this Libra season will resemble the energy of April this year when Jupiter and Neptune met at 23 degrees of Pisces.
And lastly for this season, Pluto stations direct on October 7th, putting the start of the "station direct" season. By the time we enter Scorpio Season, Pluto (the ruler of Scorpio) will already be moving direct in the sky.
On October 18th, Jupiter will cross the world axis (0 degrees of Aries) and step back into Pisces. Jupiter last crossed the world axis on May 10 this year.
The New Moon in Libra takes place on September 25th as Venus (the ruler of this New Moon) is in a trine with Pluto. Venus is diplomacy, Pluto is power (struggles), secrets. Venus is money, Pluto is power. Venus is frivolous beauty, Pluto is deep emotions. Venus is art, Pluto is psychology.
A day earlier Venus will also oppose Neptune. Neptune is often considered to be the higher octave of Venus. If Venus is romantic love, Neptune is universal love and compassion for the other.
Pluto and Neptune drawn together by Venus places the focus on truth and illusions in relationships. Beautiful, deep, meaningful conversations may be too good to be true. In truthful relationships something may be hidden.
The Full Moon is on October 9th, just as Mars (the ruler of the sign that the Moon is in) squares Neptune. The Moon will be conjunct Chiron, the wounded healer.
